Where the mold separates
50% places the seam halfway across. Alignment pins are included. Hive3D checks whether your casting can come out of this split.
Pouring channel & air vents
Automatic positions are a starting point. We check air pockets and the flow of your chosen casting material before printing.
Tries to fix small gaps, duplicate faces, face directions and overlapping closed pieces. A $5.00 one-off repair fee is added when you order if a repair is needed and completed. No fee for clean files or unsuccessful repairs. You’ll see any changes and the fee before checkout.

Some molds may need to be altered after our review. If a suitable mold cannot be made, a full refund will be offered.
The casting material, pouring temperature and shape affect which mold and print material will work. We will check these with you if needed.
